The WiT Board is responsible for overseeing the activities of WiT, including membership recruiting, program development, and event planning. The Board can have a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 13 members.
Any new or continuing member of WiT is eligible to be considered for a Board slot.
In order to be a board member, you must commit to:
(i) attend a monthly board meeting (usually 1.5 to 2 hours);
(ii) plan and implement at least one event per year;
(iii) attend the majority of WiT events;
(iv) assist with membership efforts;and
(v) provide other support as needed (e.g. working the door at an event, etc.).
Although the time commitment varies from month to month (with more time needed the month of your event), WiT Board members spend approximately 5-10 hours per month on the activities of the organization.
