Women in Telecom

What is Women in Telecommunications?

We are an organization of mainly women from the San Francisco Bay Area. We meet regularly for informal meetings to educate ourselves on industry trends and to network with our colleagues.

What is WiT's mission?

Women in Telecommunications is dedicated to building an ethical, innovative, and diverse telecommunications industry where women can excel.

Who are WiT's members?

We work in all facets of the telecom industry, from regulated wireline carriers to cable modem companies. Our members are salespeople and lawyers, engineers and finance folks. We are executives of major companies, independent consultants, entrepreneurs, managers, and working-level people who want to learn more about our industry. We include women and men.

How long has WiT been in existence?

Women in Telecommunications started in November of 1994.

Why should I join Women in Telecommunications?

Want to learn more about the telecommunications industry? WiT sponsors 6-10 panel discussions every year. Past topics include:

Finally by joining WiT, you will be supporting us in our goal to improve our industry, as well as the standing of women in the industry.
